I wish I had a nickle for every time I have heard people say, "Let's not discuss politics!" and of course we always do discuss politics if a conversation goes beyond cordial greetings and platitudes. Most of us will bite our tongues when it becomes obvious we are outnumbered by those who view politics differently resulting in most political conversations being one sided. When the playing field is equal or we become anonymous the discussions become very heated and on occasion will end in violence.
In our current political paradigm there are many causes for our being different. Nationality, ethnicity, language and the way it is spoken, religion, height and weight and last but not least gender. There are many other lesser factors. To our detriment we all tend to focus on the things that make us different which complicates all our lives by generating situations that can and have lead to war and/or genocide. Hurricanes and earthquakes are real. The problems we face from our differences are not. The availability of resources are also real but they do have political solutions that can be peaceful when they are not impacted by the politics of our differences.
It is our political differences that will be severely impacted by the proof reincarnation is fact. Since reincarnation happens at the quantum level we currently have no control over where and with which unborn it will occur. There may be a supreme being controlling the process but that is pure conjecture. The time may come when we attempt to control the process ourselves but that is so far removed from the capability of modern science it is not worth discussing.
Until we know otherwise we are forced to accept that the process is random with the only rules being the speed of light and the properties of energy transference. There are a few clues. The research that Dr. Tucker and his staff at the University of Virginia has conducted shows that entities appear to stay relatively close to the site of their previous life but these cases are unique. What happens in the cases where there is no trauma and no recall which is the state most of us exist in? Energy can travel at the speed of light if there are properties to accelerate it. It is my hypothesis those properties do exist and will be detectable once we have the tools in place to detect them.
For the sake of simplicity let's say we experience one physical life every 100 years or ten lives in a millennial. From life to life we could change nationality, ethnicity, language and the way it is spoken, religion, height and weight and last but not least gender. A Muslim who hates Jews could easily be born a Jew in their next life and stay well within the range Dr. Tucker's research has shown. We largely ignore the plight of the Haitian people. Those of you enjoying your retirement homes on the Eastern Coast may very well find yourselves trapped in the squalor that is Haiti in the next few years. You could be the Latino struggling to get across our border to a better life in this country. I could easily come up with an endless list of examples.
If reincarnation becomes reality the political implications are huge. We will have to live with the realization we are not different. Most of us will say we are not different when asked but the fact is none of us really have had any skin in the different game then the one we were born with. Faced with the reality, the only difference between us is where we will next be born, politics will be forced to undergo massive change.
